Continuing the tradition stemming from UCT Prague, please accept our invitation to the first ever Open Breakfast with Data stewards of the Dejvice Campus, which will take place on the 13/03/2025 between 9:00 and 11:00 in B2319 (UCT building B, Zikova 4, Prague 6). Tea and coffee will be provided, but anyone is free to bring their own breakfast items, and practice “open sharing”.

For whom is it intended?
Early career researchers, post-doctoral researchers, academics, data stewards, project administrators and everyone who has had the (dis)pleasure of creating a Data Managment Plan (DMP) and/or submitting grant proposal with Research Data Management (RDM) description is welcome to join and share a piece of their mind and a piece of cake in a friendly and casual manner. Welcomed are also those who are preparing to undergo this process and would like to hear more about it from their colleagues and get an idea about some great support materials.
What is this breakfast about and why should I join?
Many grant providers require DMP as part of an overall RDM policy. While these plans are often seen as a necessary bureaucratic evil, they can have a positive impact on the project by asking questions which might otherwise not have come across one’s mind. During this breakfast we’ll discuss why, when and how you should set up your DMP. So, if you have or if you are currently solving or thinking about applying for grants like GAČR, TAČR, AZV, MSCA and many others, stop by.
Do you have any questions?
Do you have any questions regarding RDM or open science which you would like to discuss? Come meet us at this or any of the next breakfasts! You can reach the data stewards via email at researchdata@vscht.cz for UCT Prague and georgia.koutentaki@fit.cvut.cz for CTU.
