When looking for private housing, students may encounter several types of contracts: an apartment lease agreement, a sublease agreement, or an accommodation agreement. At first glance, it may not be clear which type of contract is involved, and each one offers the parties different options and varying degrees of legal protection. Attorney Tereza Martincová will familiarize participants with the basics of the legal framework governing rental relationships, advise them on how to vet the landlord and the property, and explain how to practically establish the terms of shared living arrangements.

If you can’t make it by then, you can come at any time later in the evening. We’ll be in rooms B3-210 and B3-213, which are the Teaching Laboratories. They can be accessed from the corridor near the lower footbridge. You’ll need to ring the doorbell for the Teaching Laboratories.
