Join us in honoring the memory of two professors who made significant contributions to the world of brewing and fermentation chemistry. Karel Joseph Napoleon Balling was born on April 21, 1805. Among his achievements are the invention of the saccharometer, a methodology for determining the quality of sugar solutions, and the introduction of new scientific terminology. Antonín Bělohoubek, born on April 28, 1845, was a student of Professor Balling and carried the brewing torch forward, eventually becoming a lecturer in brewing. 🍺
The commemorative event will begin on Wednesday, April 23 at 10:30 AM in front of the entrance to Olšany Cemeteries (by the Olšanské hřbitovy tram stop).
