Dear students and colleagues,

As every year, it’s time for our Nobel Lecture. This year, it will take place on November 13 at 16:00 in BI. You can once again look forward to short, popular-science talks on the topics for which the 2024 Nobel Prizes in Chemistry and Physics were awarded. As in previous years, we’ve invited leading experts in these fields from our university to present the topics. Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Oleksiy Lyutakov, Ph.D. (FCHT, UCT Prague) will give a lecture on the development and properties of metal–organic frameworks (Nobel Prize in Chemistry). Prof. RNDr. Bc. Petr Slavíček, Ph.D. (FCHI, UCT Prague) will talk about the discovery of macroscopic quantum tunneling in electrical circuits (Nobel Prize in Physics). We’re very much looking forward to both outstanding scientists and their talks! 🙂 We’ll definitely be there — how about you?
