We warmly invite you to the Holešovice Chess Tournament. The Tournament will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in the building of the School of Business UCT Prage, Jankovcova 23 – Prague 7, Holešovice, and will be divided into three skill groups.
Tournament game formats (X+Y, where X is the base time in minutes and Y is the increment added after each move):
- Beginner group: 10:00–12:30 (format 5+3, 8 rounds) – Room B
- Advanced group: 9:00–11:30 (format 5+3, 8 rounds) – Room A
- Expert group (FIDE RAPID): 13:00–16:30 (format 10+5, 7 rounds) – Room A
Tournament Format

- Beginner Group (9:30 – 12:00) | 5+3, 7 rounds
- Advanced Group (13:00 – 15:30) | 5+3, 7 rounds
- FIDE Tournament (Experts) (16:00 – 19:00) | 5+3, 8 rounds
We kindly ask all participants to arrive at least 20 minutes before scheduled start of their group.
Registration and other information
To register for the tournament, please fill out the 1-minute online questionnaire.
Entry for players participating in the beginners' and advanced groups is free, regardless of age, skill level, or affiliation with the school.
Entry for players competing in the rated category (expert group) is subject to a fee of 150 CZK.
Light refreshments will be available throughout the day for all tournament participants.
