Financial Literacy I

Date: 10/13/2026  16:00 - 18:00
Location: Bude upřesněno v přihlašovadle
Kind: Poradenské a kariérní centrum
Event type: Workshop
Lecturer: Mgr. Veronika Jírová a Ing. Lukáš Bažanovský
Language: CZ
Description:

During the workshop, you’ll learn what a financially literate person should know and how they should behave. We’ll explore whether it’s possible to identify a debtor and what a typical debtor looks like. We’ll go over basic financial products and discuss how to navigate them—what risks are associated with them, what liquidity is, and how it affects returns. We’ll also cover the basics of personal budgeting and how to plan your finances. You’ll learn what to watch out for—how debt arises, its lifecycle, and how to avoid (or not) falling into the clutches of a debt collector.

The workshops build on one another, but participation in the second part is not contingent on attending the first workshop.

What will you learn?

  1. We’ll explain what it means to be financially literate.
  2. We’ll clearly walk through basic financial products and discuss how to choose them based on your specific life situation.
  3. We’ll show you why and how to create a personal and family budget.
  4. Is it possible to recognize a debtor?
  5. Where do debts most often arise?
  6. And how to prevent debt from accumulating.
