As every year, we are pleased to invite you to our Nobel Lecture! This year’s event will take place on November 11 in Room BII, starting at 4:00 p.m. Once again, you can look forward to short popular-science lectures on topics related to the achievements awarded this year’s Nobel Prizes in Chemistry and Physics. As every year, we have invited leading experts in the respective fields to present these fascinating topics. Prof. Ing. Michal Kohout, Ph.D. (University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague) will give a lecture on the discovery of nonlinear effects in asymmetric organic synthesis (Nobel Prize in Chemistry). Prof. Ing. Michal Malinská, Ph.D. (Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics) will talk about the journey towards building an ice observatory for the detection of cosmic neutrinos (Nobel Prize in Physics). We are already very much looking forward to hearing from these two outstanding scientists and to their lectures! We’ll definitely be there — will you?
